Firstly Pinterest is not a social media platform, it is a visual search engine and whether you are a product or service business or are a large or small business, people come onto Pinterest already knowing what they are looking for.
So once they find your pin by, searching keywords, if that keyword appears in your pin you may appear on their home feed. Once someone has found your pin you can direct them to your website, other social media pages, youtube account, Etsy page, the possibilities are endless.
Pinterest is such a visual and positive platform. In July Pinterest even announced it was going to ban all weight loss adverts to only promote a positive body image. There is a creator code that all pinterest users are asked to follow to make sure that Pinterest is a safe place for all its users.
“It’s hard to be creative when you’re surrounded by negativity and comparison. On Pinterest, it’s different. We lead with kindness and put your well-being as a creator first.”
